The Setting
Located 1,750 km off India’s east coast in the Bay of Bengal, the Andamans are a volcanic archipelago of 575 islands, known for their lush rainforests, vibrant coral reefs, and untouched beaches.
Chidiyatapu, at the southern tip of South Andaman Island, is a serene fishing village fringed by the sea and reserve forests, far from the bustle of Port Blair. With fewer than 50 households and minimal tourist traffic, it is the perfect place to give your imagination free rein.
The Stay
Nestled in this beautiful setting is Big Tree Cottages, an 8-room eco-resort set in a reserve forest by the sea. The charm of the place lies in its simplicity. One wakes with the sun, can stroll through the village or go on enchanting nature walks, or simply stroll on the sea-kissed beaches and fall asleep to the sounds of the forest.
The 4 cozy duplex wooden cottages, with air conditioning, hot water, and private balconies, open into a forest canopy. Though in an idyll setting, the cottages offer a luxurious stay with crisp white sheets, soft pillows, and a cozy, nest-like feel.
The food is fresh, simple and wholesome with the ingredients coming from the organic Big Tree farm that adds to the allure of the place. And while it cannot lay claim to the term mountain retreat, this stay still promises to be as rejuvenating, as calming and just as nurturing.
This curated retreat experience doesn't involve typical sightseeing activities. However, we will be happy to connect you with our hosts who can help you plan them after the retreat on a personal basis without the involvement of the Mountain Retreat.

The Mountain Retreat, Chidiya Tapu edition is a 4 nights and 5 days retreat. Arrival on 26th November by lunch time - Departure on 30th November after breakfast.
The retreat fees is ₹ 44,000/-. It includes stay (twin sharing), food, workshop materials & the program.
For a non sharing room, the fee will be ₹ 54,000/-.

Payments: You have the flexibility to pay in two instalments: an initial 25% deposit upfront, followed by the remaining 75% due one month before the retreat. (26th October 2025)
Cancellation: 25% deposit is non-refundable if cancellation occurs less than 30 days before the retreat begins.
