The Experience

“Kintsugi, the ancient Japanese art form of mending broken tea ware by reassembling ceramic pieces, creates anew the valuable pottery, which now becomes more beautiful and more valuable than the original, unbroken vessel.” - Makoto Fujimura

The Mountain Retreat's half day workshop Kintsugi Experience offers a communal form of reflection and healing through a journey from brokenness to beauty and new creation.

Material for mending will be provided, you will have to bring your broken ceramic that needs  mending, e.g., cup, plate, figurine, vase. Even those with a small chip or fracture will work. We ask that you do not break anything for the purpose of the Kintsugi Experience. We have enough broken things in this world. More details for preparations will be shared with you before the workshop.

Currently we are offer this experience in Koramangala, Bangalore only.
